Dark Night

Another word for the dark night experience is a death experience. And it can feel exactly like that - a death of the self. A death of a version of ourselves and of our lives that we have grown familiar with.
The Dark Night is a crumbling. A space of loss and of letting go.
In the dark night, we meet the dark teacher. The one whose lessons come through loss and pain. It can feel as if everything we once knew is no longer a part of our reality - like we are falling away from everything that once felt safe and familiar. Like we are falling away from ourselves.
It’s normal to feel grief, anger, sadness, depression, loneliness, defeat, desperation, confusion, frustration, hopelessness, and overwhelm in this phase.

Where am I trying to speed up this process? What would it feel like if I stopped trying to fix or change anything and just let myself be here?
